BA Minutes from May 17th Meeting

IV. Ongoing Business
a. Discussion of Goals for BA for upcoming year
i. General Maintenance of Block
- -Care of street trees on our block – We have new trees!!!
GRAND TOTAL OF 26 TREES ON THE BLOCK NOW
- Cator filled out a grant to Citizens Community for New York City for tree guards. GRANTED! More to come. We need to get a group together who will help build the tree guards
MEETING AT CATOR’S HOUSE WITH CITIZENS COMMUNITY JUNE 14TH AT 630 FOR ONE HOUR IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE TO ATTEND.
- Harlem Flo has taken over the private park at the end of the block. Looks great
ii. Support for Education
- Any news from Haja about education in the garden?
iii. Funding:
- Membership drive – Pat has emailed the BA a sample invoice for everyone to send in their dues.
( $24 per family)

CSA STARTS IN JUNE. IF YOU ARE STILL INTERESTED IN JOINING CONTACT CINDY AND HAJA

a. Tote bags are still available for $15 each.
b. Block Party- JULY 9th. More info to come.
VII. New Business
a. Motorcycle madness. Does anyone know people who ride those really loud dirt bikes? Cator has been speaking with the police about this ongoing irritating situation.
ALSO IF ANYONE KNOWS WHO OWNS THE MOTORCYCLE THAT IS ILLEGALLY PARKED IN FRONT OF THE GARDEN PLEASE ASK THEM TO MOVE IT.
MR KING IS ASKING EVERYONE TO CALL 311 ABOUT THE #10 BUS STOP THAT WAS MOVED TO 121ST STREET AS IT IS A VERY DANGEROUS INTERSECTION FOR A BUS STOP. WE WOULD LIKE IT MOVED BACK IN FRONT OF THE PRECINCT
IT SEEMS LIKE THE LOT WITH THE BLUE FENCE AT THE END OF THE STREET MAY BE BUILDING AGAIN
THE MONEY HOLE IN TEDDYS BUILDING HAS FINALLY BEEN SHUT DOWN.
LAND YOGA OPENS IN JUNE!
MR. JOHNSON’S MIRRORS WERE STOLEN OFF HIS CAR. HE ADVISES GETTING LOCKS ON YOUR MIRRORS.
